A highly experienced consultant, Kaz has lived in both the U.S. and France, and has worked in strategic planning positions at a number of companies both Japanese and non-Japanese. His broad exposure to many aspects of global business strengthens his ability to provide our clients with important guidance and insights.
Kaz began his career at Asahi Glass, where he worked for 17 years, finishing his time there in the Strategic Planning department. He then worked in strategic planning positions at Motorola Japan and First Architect.
Kaz then spent several years at the French firm Rhodia, including a year and a half at its head office in La Rochelle, France. He then served as Vice President of Sumida Electric's Power Solutions and Signal Company. These varied experiences in Japanese, American, and European companies give Kaz a unique perspective on the cross-cultural challenges faced by global businesses.
In 2005 Kaz became an independent consultant, working with companies on business strategy, sales and marketing, and workshop and seminar facilitation. He is also teaches at in the Globis University MBA program.
Kaz is also the author of a number of books on business topics, including MBA Thinking and Writing Skills published by Toyo Keizai and Finance: Why Can't Men Beat Monkeys? published by Nikkei Shimbun.
Kaz is a graduate of the Economics Department of Hitotsubashi University, and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.
