Vinayak Ankolekar brings over 12 years of specialized experience in Employment and Labour law across India. A native of Karnataka, he began his legal career as a Civil Attorney and has since advised a broad range of clients—from Indian SMEs to multinational corporations—on corporate governance, compliance, and HR systems.
Vinayak holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Legislative Law (LL.B.) from Karnataka State Law University, equipping him with dual expertise in business management and Indian law. He is multilingual, fluent in Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, Konkani, and English.
As part of the core team at Japan Intercultural Consulting’s India office, Vinayak plays a critical role in supporting Japanese companies operating in India. Many of our Japanese clients face challenges navigating India’s high attrition rates and distinct performance culture. Vinayak supports these firms by designing legally sound HR systems that clearly define roles, boundaries, and expectations—creating both structure and legal protection.
In addition to legal advisory, he provides strategic input on contracts, ensuring agreements are aligned with compliance requirements and protect our clients’ interests. His sharp eye for detail and strong understanding of cultural nuance make him a trusted Senior Client Manager, directly engaging with clients to ensure their needs are met.
