Nitin Datar graduated from the University of Pune with a major in Mechanical Engineering. He also earned an M.B.A. at the International University of Japan in 2000 with focus on IT and International Management. After working with companies like Fujitsu and Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting, in the year 2000 Nitin co-founded an IT company, Vertex Software, in India. Placing a strong focus on the Japanese market, he was able to grow his company from four employees to more than 500 worldwide in six years. In 2008, Nitin sold the company to NTT Data. Nitin is now the Senior Director and Head of Sales for a major Indian IT company’s Japan operation.
Nitin has obtained the highest level of certification, Level 1, on JETRO’s Business Japanese test, and also is fluent in Hindi, Marati, and English.
For more than 10 years, Nitin has worked with Japan Intercultural Consulting advising Japanese clients on Indian culture. His deep experience in Japanese business enables him to provide convincing and enlightening explanations that help clients to improve their working relationships with Indian colleagues. Nitin has consulted for a wide variety of companies, including those in the pharmaceutical, IT, electronics and trading sectors.
