Yuko Morimoto holds a B.A. from International Christian University and an M.A. from San Francisco State University, both in Intercultural Communication.
Yuko began her career at Chase Manhattan Bank in Tokyo, where she worked for over 10 years. At Chase, her responsibilities included trading and selling derivative products. She served as the Global Coordinator of a global team and facilitated the communication among team members (consisting of Asians including Japanese, North Americans, and Europeans) in international projects.
Yuko then moved to the Silicon Valley area in California, where she lived for over ten years. While there, she provided communication training and executive coaching for the employees of multinational companies. She also assisted clients with facilitation, team building, global leadership development, and 360 degree evaluation. She worked with firms in a wide variety of industries including high tech, retail, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.
Yuko returned to Japan in 2009 and continues working as facilitator and coach going back and forth between Japan and the U.S. She is an ICF Professional Certified Coach.
Yuko is also the author of Culture Shock! Tokyo at Your Door, a guidebook for foreigners living and working in Tokyo.
