Michael Bekins is a recognized authority on the leadership issues confronting global organizations that operate in fast-growth, rapidly changing markets.
For the better part of 25 years, Michael lived and worked in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, India, Japan, and the UK -- including four years in Hong Kong from 2006 to 2010. For the past decade, his passion has been identifying the leadership qualities that make for unbeatable leaders operating in culturally diverse markets. He works primarily with companies based in North America, Asia, and India on critical succession issues and leadership development, and has coached senior executives in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, China, Korea, Japan, and the United States.

Much of Michael’s international business career involved consulting and leadership roles in emerging markets, start-ups, and high-growth situations. With Korn/Ferry International, he served as country manager in India and Hong Kong, and headed the firm’s Asia Pacific technology practice. Earlier in his career he served as president for Asia Pacific and executive vice president for the Los Angeles-based firm.
He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California, a B.S. from Pepperdine University, and executive coaching certification from Columbia University. A member of the International Coaching Federation, Bekins has been quoted on Asia business leadership in The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and The Conference Board Review.
