In his career, Ryo has had a wide variety of experiences in both the Japanese and global business environments, and acting as a bridge between the two.
Ryo began his career in Tokyo at the Japanese subsidiary of the world’s largest ICT network, where he worked for over 10 years. He started out as a network engineer, and eventually had a key role in operations management.
After re-locating to that firm’s headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia in 1989, he worked as a network operation manager, orchestrating with both local and regional levels the management of projects in Europe, the Middle-East, Asia-Oceania and North and South America for more than 15 years.
In 2004, Ryo became a consultant focused on teaching business communication, management and leadership skills to Japanese business professionals. He has a particular interest in supporting Japanese firms with change management and organization development, and in helping managers strengthen their skills.
Ryo was born in Kumamoto, Japan, and grew up in the Kansai area. He holds a BA in French Literature from Keio University.
