New Bilingual HR Business Partner Course: Build the Skills for Strategic HR Roles in Japan
I’m pleased to announce that I will be teaching a new Global HR Business Partner (HRBP) course, offered by the Human Resource Accreditation Institute (HRAI).
The role of HR is changing — and so are the skills needed to succeed.
Around the world, companies are increasingly adopting the HR Business Partner (HRBP) model, in which HR professionals work closely with business leaders to develop talent strategies, solve organizational challenges, and drive business performance.
This approach has long been established in many multinational companies, including foreign firms operating in Japan. Now, Japanese companies are also increasingly embracing the HRBP model as they seek to make HR a more strategic contributor to business success.
For HR professionals looking to advance their careers, the ability to think and act as a strategic business partner is becoming an increasingly valuable skill.
What will you learn?
This new course is designed to help HR professionals make the transition from traditional HR roles to becoming trusted strategic partners to management. Topics include:
- The role of the HR Business Partner: Understanding how HRBPs work with business leaders and contribute to business strategy.
- Business strategy and human capital management: Connecting HR initiatives to business priorities, financial considerations, and organizational performance.
- Global talent strategy: Developing integrated approaches to recruiting, deploying, and developing talent across borders.
- Communication and influence: Building trust, collaborating with stakeholders, and navigating the challenges of multicultural organizations.
- People Analytics: Understanding how data can inform HR decisions and strengthen recommendations to management.
A practical course with real-world application
Throughout the course, participants will develop an HR Business Proposal addressing a real challenge in their own organization. At the conclusion, they will present their proposal and receive feedback, strengthening their ability to communicate strategic HR recommendations persuasively to business leaders.
A special advantage: Learn in both English and Japanese
For HR professionals working in multinational companies, Japanese companies with global operations, or other multicultural environments, being able to discuss HR issues confidently in both English and Japanese is a significant professional asset.
The bilingual version of this course provides an opportunity not only to build strategic HRBP capabilities, but also to strengthen your command of specialized HR terminology and concepts in both languages. This can be particularly valuable for professionals who regularly need to bridge communication between Japanese and non-Japanese colleagues and executives.
In addition to the bilingual session I am teaching, there are also sessions in English only and Japanese only.
Who should attend?
This course is particularly well suited for experienced HR professionals who want to move into more strategic roles, current or aspiring HR Business Partners, and HR managers working in global or multicultural organizations.
